FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

3 - an evening with francis bailey and friends, during which members of francis's family, along with the co-author of his memior, discussed the iconic islander's contribution to the history of sanibel; 4 - the history of gramma dot, a historical sanibel person, told by her family and including the history of one of the oldest restaurants on the island, which bears her name; and 5 - a double feature film - postcards & photos of sanibel's history parts i and ii - seen together for the first time.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4D

Free admission day - once a year in june, the museum offers a free admission day. Last season, we welcomed about 300 people who fully experienced the village as they toured at their leisure. Anecdotal comments were all positive, with guests remarking on how much they learned during their time at the museum. Luminary - on the afernoon of the city's luminary night festivities, we again offer free admission and a holiday program to get people started on their way this special night. Last season, approximately 400 people attended. Volunteers staff each building, decorating with an appropriate theme (last season the theme was the 1960s, highlighting the many changes the island saw during that decade). Each building has an interactive feature to engage vistors. The village is fully decorated for our guests' enjoyment, and cookies are even offered at the end. School children - last season, as always, we welcomed the sanibel school's fourth grade classes for a tour and activities. The students wrote wonderful thank-you notes telling us how much they learned from their visit.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc0FREE ADMISSION DAY - ONCE A YEAR IN JUNE, THE MUSEUM OFFERS A FREE ADMISSION DAY.
