Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11

The President and the treasurer review the annual report prior to submission via e-filing. Once completed, an electronic copy of the annual report is sent to the President for his and the tresurers review. The annual report is e-filed only once the President authorizes it.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

There are five people in the management of the Organization. They are in touch with one another daily, minimally. They are aware of the conflict of interest policy and sensitive to the need for the need for it, the activity of it and enforcement of it. All other workers are laborers in the warehouses and store. They are aware of the need of the conflict of interest policy and are encouraged to be forthright in reporting any possible exception to it.

Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19

Documents and policies are available upon written request at the Organizations address.

Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

Other or change in accounting method Part XII line 1

The Organization incorporated donated materials / gifts in kind into its financial reporting for 2016. Donated materials (non-cash contributions) are valued at fair market value. For 80% of the donated materials, the valuation has been determined by the donors stated value per item for each shipment. For donated materials where the donors stated value was not available, estimated fair market values were determined by pricing items off the internet and using estimates from the Executive Director based on the value of other shipments. The Organizations management has determined that average shelf lives of donated materials are around two to three weeks. Due to this and the fact that the Organization cannot afford additional personnel to track inventory, neither can it afford an automated system, no inventory of product is maintained. Management believes that it is far too expensive and impractical as well. This applies to tracking inventory on an on-going basis and to taking inventory at the end of the year. Management has also determined that inventory tracking of any kind (besides cost and practicality) would also be a significant impediment to operations, greatly hindering the capacity to make shipments on time. The donated materials for 2015 have been estimated and for comparability purposes restated in the 2016 return (herein).

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0The president and the treasurer review the annual report prior to its being filed. When completed, the annual report is electronically submitted to the President for his and the Treasurers review. The President and another member of the Board (a non-officer) are spouses.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1The President and the treasurer review the annual report prior to submission via e-filing. Once completed, an electronic copy of the annual report is sent to the President for his and the tresurers review. The annual report is e-filed only once the President authorizes it.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt2There are five people in the management of the Organization.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3Documents and policies are available upon written request at the Organizations address.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt4The Organization incorporated donated materials / gifts in kind into its financial reporting for 2016.
