Industrial and rehabilitation services - to provide rehabilitation services to people with developmental disabilities, mental illness and physical disabilities

Activity 3

Foster care residential services - occupations, inc., provides services for foster care youth which are located in orange county and serve families and youth from counties throughout the hudson valley region. We provide services for 10 boys and 10 girls in two seperate group homes. The group homes provide intensive, individual therapy, family therapy and training in independent living skills. The group home setting allows the youth to be active members of a community while striving to reach their goals of returning of their families or being able to live independently while working or continuing their education. Youth ages 12-21 years old are served. The assessment center provides diagnostic testing for departments of social services and family courts throughout the region. This setting serves youth ages 10-21 who are in need of temporary placements for evaluation and short term treatment. The assessment center can also provide "in-home" assessments for orange county youth who are deemed eligible for this service. The assessment center has the capacity to serve the youth who present with complex psychiatric and behavorial needs and is committed to partner with the departments of social services to create innovative plans to stabilize, treat, and plan for youth and their families.
