To unite all workers eligible for membership to establish through collective bargaining adequate wage standards and retirement benefits, shorter hours of work and the improvement in working conditions for workers.

To carry out union activities for the benefit of all worker-members.

Form 990 will be reviewed by the officers and presented to the executive board members upon request. The secretary treasurer is responsible for signing the form 990. In addition a copy will be filed with the transport workers union of america, the international union, for review.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Officers are required to file department of labor lm-30 for certain financial dealings that could have a potential conflict between personal and union interest. The union monitors the conflict of interest policy by having a whistle blower policy as well as having monthly meetings where officers can discuss potential conflicts of interest. The union enforces compliance with the conflict of interest policy by following procedures stated in the transport workers union of america's constitution.

Governing documents and the conflict of interest policy are included in the transport workers union of america's consititution. Furthermore, form lm-2 is available on the department of labor's website under the freedom of information act.
