If the council determines that an actual or potential conflict of interest does exist, the council shall also determine an appropriate remedy. Such remedy may include, for example, the recusal of the conflicted covered official from participating in certain matters pending before the council or other body.”

The committee relies upon contemporaneous information and salary surveys from the geographical location and also from like-minded organizations to ensure reasonable and adequate level of pay. The decision and review is documented in a letter to the executive director and the director of finance. The executive director follows the same process for setting salary levels of key personnel.”
