“Line 15 a - The compensation package of the President was determined by the Board and recorded in his initial employment agreement. Subsequent adjustments are determined by the Chair the Treasurer and several other Executive Committee members. In determining annual compensation the Chairman of the Board takes into consideration the cost of living in Greece comparative salaries as well as benefits offered in similar positions at other U.S. colleges in the Hellenic region and the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar to euro. Line 15 b - The President decides with other officers and trustees annual salary adjustments for other officers key employees and others which are subsequently incorporated into the annual budget and submitted to the Board for approval at its spring meeting. In determining these salaries factors such as comparative salaries of corresponding positions in private educational institutions of the region the corporate position and image cost of living and competitive salaries in the market play a significant role.”

“| Explanation:| Line 4a PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT #1 EDUCATION Teaching English holds a high priority in all of Anatolias programs. Its high school is the leading school in northern Greece where Greek students study English intensively as a second language. They achieve proficiency quickly and in the later years study American and English literature. In the American College of Thessaloniki and the International Baccalaureate program English is the language of instruction and graduates attain full mastery of the language. Anatolia also organized English classes for bilingual children a unique service in Thessaloniki. The secondary school has been recognized as one of the top secondary schools in Greece. Its record of successful placement of graduates in Greek and U.S. universities is virtually unmatched. Several Anatolia graduates pursue higher studies at some of the top colleges universities in the U.S. Approximately 100 tenth and eleventh graders visit the U.S. to attend summer programs and experience the U.S. culture first-hand. Anatolias approximately 11,000 alumni constitute a major element in the business and professional leadership of northern Greece. Anatolia has provided hundreds of scholarships to worthy youth of modest means from all areas of Greece. Additionally a few scholarships have been assigned to the two-year international baccalaureate program to attract among others qualified students from neighboring countries. The American College of Thessaloniki ACT founded in 1981 was awarded full accreditation as a four-year baccalaureate-level institution by the New England Commission of Higher Education in 1993. ACT offers six degree programs each designed to prepare graduates for immediate entry into the local workforce upon graduation or to continue study towards post-graduate degrees. Each year approximately 30-50% of graduates continue on for a post-graduate degree at universities abroad many of these in the United States. International students make up approximately 45% of ACTs undergraduate enrollment. ACT provides a unique opportunity for the students to obtain an affordable American-style education. The College also has agreements with several U.S. institutions and hosts more than 300 study abroad students annually. Since 2002 a one-year intensive MBA program has been introduced with concentrations in entrepreneurship management marketing banking and finance. In addition a fully integrated solution in hospitality and tourism studies is offered through a one-year MSc program in Tourism and Management. A 15-month program to obtain an MSc in Organizational and Industrial Psychology is also offered. Anatolia also offers kindergarten through 6th grade education at the primary school level. Purchased in 2004 with an enrollment of 240 students the Elementary School presently has an enrollment of 566. As in the secondary school elementary school students are Greek. The main language of instruction is Greek but all students study English intensively as a second language. The major goal for Anatolia Elementary School was to become one of the top schools in Northern Greece both in academic quality as well as student experience. It is widely accepted that the School is considered by most as the top elementary school in northern Greece. In March 2019 Pinewood International School was integrated under the Anatolia institutional umbrella. Pinewood is an independent not-for-profit day and boarding pre-kindergarten 12th grade school offering an internationally enriched American college prep curriculum and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to students from the international and local communities. Through the integration of Pinewood into its community Anatolia will expand its role as an internationally oriented institution. The partnership will help fulfill its vision to serve as a destination for a student body of increased socio-economic diversity and its mission to create a collaborative educational environment”
“| Explanation:| Line 4b PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT #2 STUDENT PROGRAMS SERVICES and ACTIVITIES Anatolia has employed many tried and tested American techniques for the first time in Greece. It introduced science laboratories into Greek secondary education and today goes far beyond other schools in requiring practical training in its well-equipped labs. Anatolia was the first school to introduce guidance counseling and Anatolias counselors have worked with the Greek Ministry of Education to reproduce this service in the public schools. The extra-curricular program wholly novel in Greek education offers an array of activities including student newspapers and literary magazines theater aerobics art chorale orchestra photography electronics and softball. Anatolia started a countrywide English language forensics league several years ago and hosts annual tournaments for schools from Greece and abroad. Anatolia debaters frequently prevail in national tournament competitions against native speakers of English. Anatolia delegations travel annually to Boston to participate in the student Model United Nations Conference organized by Harvard University. Anatolia created and hosted its first mock scientific symposium ACSTAC Anatolia College Science & Technology Annual Conference for high school students. In 2013 Anatolia College Johns Hopkins University in the U.S. and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation came together to establish a center that is unique to Greece and southeastern Europe in general the Center for Talented Youth CTY. CTYs roots extend back to its founding in the 1970s and the pioneering work of Johns Hopkins psychologist Julian Stanley with gifted middle school prodigies. His work put the spotlight on exceptionally bright young people and their capacity and enthusiasm for academic challenges matched to their advanced abilities. CTY Greece at Anatolia College is the culmination of the strategic partnership of three organizations with a long tradition in education and social contribution. CTY Greece at Anatolia College has much to offer students with high academic skills; talent identification through above grade level testing as well as summer online and weekend courses to match and excel their exceptional academic abilities. In 2024 Anatolia College formed the Kassandra Center for Educational Excellence aiming to empower educators to engage in innovative teaching strategies grounded in educational research and its emergent advancements which encompass both the academic and the socioemotional well-being of students.”
“| Explanation:| Line 4c PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT #3 LIBRARIES Anatolias U.S. style open-shelf libraries are among the few in Greece where students are free to browse and borrow books and periodicals in contrast to most other Greek libraries which function more like book museums. Students receive instruction in library use by American librarians. The library employs a U.S. classification system and closely supports the English language and literature curriculum. The library houses Anatolias internet connection and accesses in library use. Anatolia was the first school in northern Greece to introduce computer science and today goes far beyond other institutions in this area. Students are trained on contemporary equipment in seven computer laboratories. All administrative offices are connected to a computer network have access to the internet and use sophisticated and contemporary software applications.”
