Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (the "Foundation"), incorporated in Delaware in 2000, after publicly disclosing in 1998 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease seven years earlier, at age 29. Today, the Foundation is the world's largest not-for-profit funder of Parkinson's research. It is dedicated to accelerating a cure and improved therapies for the estimated six million people worldwide living with Parkinson's disease today. The Foundation pursues its goals through an aggressively funded, highly targeted research program, coupled with the active global engagement of scientists, Parkinson's patients and care partners, business leaders, clinical-trial participants and donors. In addition to funding more than $1 billion in research programs through the end of December 31, 2020, the Foundation has fundamentally altered the trajectory of progress towards a cure.
