“In fall 2022, the organization discovered that a former employee executed unauthorized transactions from the organization's bank account during the period of 2019 through 2021. During such period, the individual embezzled a total of $488,177 in assets. Upon investigation, it was determined that the individual embezzled the funds from the organization and no other individuals associated with the organization, other than the individual in question, participated in, enabled, or assisted in, or had any prior ot concurrent knowledge of the misappropriation of assets by the individual. As of the date of this return, the individual has plead guilty to fraud and currently awaits sentacing. Additional actions taken by the organization include: - the organization evaluated its internal control policies and put in place improvement to the internal controls designed to prevent future misappropriation and, if they should occur, detect them. -the organization filed a report with respect to the defalcation with its insurance carrier and is seeking recovery. -the organization reported the embezzlement to the appropriate authorities. As indicated above, after an investigation by authorities the individual in question was arrested and has plead guilty to fraud.”

The nominating committee of the board of directors then sends out questionnaires to those members wishing to be considered, and they interview each candidate. The nominating committee then picks the candidates they feel are the best qualified and best represent the market. The selected candidates are proposed up at the annual meeting (held in january) where the full lsta membership votes.”

Activities include the development of standard forms and documentation and the dissemination of market-pricing information.”
