The labor education project the labor education project was begun at the end of 2023 and employs one staff person. It aims to build the tools, knowledge, and strategy needed to organize, resist exploitation, and fight for a world that puts people before profits the project achieved its goal in 2024 by contributing about sixty articles about labor to people's world, documenting strikes, union drives, and the growing movement for worker power. In 2024 it reported from major labor conventions such as the coalition of black trade unionists and provided coverage of the consequential united auto workers strike. It contributed to labor-focused pamphlets for pro-worker organizations, and labor classes on topics like union organizing, socialist labor strategy, and youth engagement in the labor movement. In june 2024, it helped organize a 70-person labor history tour in chicago, uniting u.s. And international trade unionists to explore the city's militant labor legacy-with plans for a similar project in detroit. The labor education project also works closely with worker collectives to develop rank-and-file education programs, fostering discussions on trade unionism, workplace organizing, and fighting back against corporate domination.
