In addition, literature was prepared to assist participants at the conference and to be distributed by them in their local regions after the conferences. Expenses included hall rental, travel expenses for lecturers and participants, when possible, including international speakers and participants, printing of studies, lectures and reports, internet, streaming and zoom vurtual meeting and other incidental costs. Each conference and webinar was attended by more than 1,000 participants. (1) educational conferences and webinars highlighting the issue of immigration including day to day economic, social and legal problems faced by immigrants, particularly in light of new immigration policies. Meetings also included discussions of legal rights, medical care, educational opportunities and the impact on children of immigrant families who were separated from their parents. (2) a conference on the 75th anniversay of the founding of the peoples republic of china analyzing the successes and failures in eradicating poverty and developing a world leading economy.
