Form 990, Part III, Line 3

Due to a steady decline in funding, on march 30, 2017, the board of directors determined that the best of course of action was to wind down operations. The organization ceased providing programs before the end of their fiscal year ending june 30, 2017.

FORM 990, PART XII, LINE 1:

Until the decision was made on march 30,2017 to cease operations and liquidate the organization, the financial statements were prepared on the concept that the organization was a going concern. On march 31, 2017, the organization adopted the liquidation basis of accounting. Assets were measured and presented at the amounts of cash proceeds that the organization expects, as of the date of the financial statements, to receive from their liquidation. In addition, the organization had accrued and separately presented under the caption liquidation reserves the costs that it expected to incur during the duration of the liquidation. At june 30, 2017 the organization recognized $220,418 in liquidation expenses and a related liability in its financial statements. Those amounts were paid during the year ended june 30, 2018 as follows: salaries and payroll taxes $168,082 contract services 22,299 office supplies 1,507 facilities 9,569 malpractice tail policy 10,051 miscellaneous 4,586 donation to john v. Lindsay wildcat academy 4,324 total $220,418 the organization has followed its bylaws and the laws of the state of new york in regards to the winding up of its operations and the liquidation of its assets.
