The organization purchases management services from its sponsor postgraduate center for mental health, a related entity. These fees are chargeable at a monthly rate of $1,190 per month. The management fees incurred during the year ended june 30, 2024 amounted to $14,280. Jacob barak and cara turner (officers of the filing organization) were paid by postgraduate center for mental health. Their 2023 compensation is reported in part vii, section a and schedule j, part ii.

An outside accounting firm and the organization have established the following review process to ensure that the information reported is complete and accurate. When the form 990 has been prepared, reviewed by management, and is ready to be filed with the internal revenue service, it is electronically sent to the board of directors for any comments. Any comments are then grouped, summarized and provided to the outside accountants. Each comment is documented and addressed. Once all of the comments have been cleared, the return is finalized and electronically filed with the irs.

PART IV, LINE 2B:

The organization holds security deposits from tenants in an escrow account. These deposits are returned to the tenants once they move out of the apartment.

PART X, LINE 2:

The entity recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not to be sustained. Management has determined that the entity had no uncertain tax positions that would require financial statement recognition or disclosure. The entity is no longer subject to examinations by the applicable taxing jurisdictions for periods prior to june 30, 2021.

WITHIN THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS, EIGHT OF THE SITE'S RESIDENTS WERE DISCHARGED APPROPRIATELY TO ALTERNATIVE LEVELS OF CARE. THE SITE ALSO HAD EIGHT NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH PRIORITY ADMISSIONS, NOTED AS "HIGH NEEDS" CLIENTS. THESE CLIENTS WERE ALL ADMITTED FROM STATE OR ACUTE CARE INPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC UNITS. ALL OF THESE EIGHT NEW CLIENTS HAVE HAD A SMOOTH TRANSITION TO THE SITE AND CONTINUE TO RECEIVE THE FULL RANGE OF SERVICES.

THE FOLLOWING IS THEIR COMPENSATION POLICY: COMPENSATION OF THE CEO IS BASED ON COMPENSATION STUDIES DONE BY AN INDEPENDENT CONSULTING FIRM ANNUALLY. THE COMPENSATION COMMITTEE DETERMINES AND APPROVES THE CEO'S COMPENSATION PACKAGE AND COMMUNICATES THEIR APPROVAL TO THE VP OF FINANCE. COMPENSATION OF VPS AND OTHER EXECUTIVES IS DETERMINED BY THE CEO BASED ON THE STUDY OF THE FORM 990 OF OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND ALL OTHER STAFF IS DETERMINED BY CONSULTATION BETWEEN THE REQUISITE VP AND THE CEO BASED ON COMPARABLE MARKET ANALYSIS. THIS PROCESS WAS LAST UNDERTAKEN DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024.
