Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

Neta is a not-for-profit entity exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code. Neta receives advertising income from their publication, neta world that is unrelated to its tax- exempt purpose and accordingly is subject to unrelated business income taxes on the advertising revenue. Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by neta and recognize a tax liability if the association has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by the irs or other applicable taxing authorities. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by neta and has concluded that as of december 31, 2022, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the financial statements.
