“The board of trustees were given a draft of form 990 to review prior to filing with the irs. Any open issues and questions regarding information in the form will be resolved by the cfo and corrections will be made if necessary before filing with the irs.”

“A disclosure form is signed annually by each employee and board member, disclosing any possible conflict of interest. If an actual or potential conflict is discovered through the disclosure process, it is brought to the attention of the audit committee for further review and action if necessary.”

“The compensation for the head of school is determined by using comparative data from a peer group of schools within the new york metropolitan area. This data is reviewed by the executive committee of the board with a final recommendation of compensation presented to the full board for approval. This process was last conducted in 2023 for the school year 2023-2024.”

“The Churchill Lower School spans Kindergarten to 6th grade, and our curriculum is designed to unlock a world of boundless potential and possibility. The Churchill Upper School spans grades 7 to 12. Our Upper School environment is dynamic and inclusive, fostering curiosity and confident self-expression. Our Upper School curriculum is designed to guide students to become proactive learners who embrace their unique abilities, cultivate their interests, and confidently advocate for themselves. Within the Upper School, students thrive in small, inclusive classrooms guided by caring, skilled teachers who possess expertise in both subject matter and learning disabilities. Alongside the New York State Regents Curriculum, we tailor our teaching to accommodate the various learning styles of our students. Our Upper School teachers, advisors, related service providers and administrators are available during and after school, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to foster success.”
