Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To use soccer to empower chester's youth, teqaching and modeling life-skills and promoting non-violence. An average of 60 children participate in each 8 week spring and fall camp, with 100 participating in the summer camp. The summer camp is sponsored with the city of chester recreation department, philadelphia union, shop rite and god's house of glory. Ccu also started an indoor winter camp this year, in collaboration with the salvation army. In all, more than 2,000 children have participated in one or more camps. Camp encouragement supports and nurtures bereaved children from the city of chester. Since 2015, 38 kids aged 6 to 12 have participated in the one-week camp.

To enrich all childrens' lives by giving them opportunities to develop their cognitive intelligence, open their hearts, learn new skills and rediscover hope.
