LOCKS WERE DISTRIBUTED THROUGH COMMUNITY EVENTS STAFFED BY OUR VOLUNTEERS AND THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY, SIX ST. LOUIS COUNTY LIBRARY BRANCHES, THE URBAN LEAGUE AND OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS.$0$30,001
ADVOCACY: THE COMMITTEE TOOK POSITIONS ON LEGISLATIVE AND BALLOT ISSUES. IN ADDITION, WE REGULARLY COLLABORATE WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS ON SHARED CAUSES, INCLUDING, MISSOURI VOTER PROTECTION COALITION, REFORM ST. LOUIS, EMPOWER MISSOURI, JOBS WITH JUSTICE, LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS, MISSOURI VOTER PROTECTION COALITION, NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH WOMEN, AND AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN MISSOURI. WOMEN'S VOICES MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN EVENTS, INCLUDING VIGIL FOR DEMOCRACY, INTERFAITH VIGIL TO SAVE CHILDREN'S LIVES AND THE ST. LOUIS ABORTION RIGHTS RALLY, AND MARCHING IN SUPPORT OF VOTING RIGHTS WITH ALLIANCE FOR INTERRACIAL DIGNITY, NORTH WEBSTER NEIGHBORHOOD COALITION, ST. LOUIS AREA VOTER PROTECTION COALITION, AND THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS. ADDITIONALLY MEMBERS ASSEMBLED VOTER REGISTRATION PACKETS THAT WERE DISTRIBUTED TO LIKELY UNREGISTERED VOTERS, AND MAILED POSTCARDS ENCOURAGING VOTERS TO GET TO THE POLLS. THE RACIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE CONTINUED TO WORK TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND INCREASE COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS THROUGH THE EXPANDED WORK OF THE ATTAINABLE HOUSING TASK FORCE AND THE CRIMINAL LEGAL REFORM TASK FORCE. A MAJOR FOCUS OF THE CRIMINAL LEGAL SYSTEM REFORM TASK FORCE WAS WORKING IN SUPPORT OF A CLEAN SLATE BILL IN MO, INCLUDING A LUNCH AND LEARN ON THIS TOPIC AND ENCOURAGING MEMBERS TO LOBBY REPRESENTATIVES TO PASS A BILL AT THE STATE LEVEL. THE ATTAINABLE HOUSING TASK FORCE CONTINUED TO WORK IN THE KIRKWOOD AREA SPECIFICALLY. IN ADDITION,COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES INCLUDED HOSTING LUNCH AND LEARN PROGRAMS. WITH SHED (SUSTAINABLE HOUSING & EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENT) BUILDS ACCESSIBLE, INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, WOMEN'S VOICES COLLABORATED WITH WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY BROWN SCHOOL CENTER FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ALLIANCE FOR INTERRACIAL DIGNITY TO HOST AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING CONFERENCE WITH AREA LEADERS WHERE STUDENT RESEARCHERS PRESENTED A HISTORICAL CONTEXT OF HOUSING DISPARITIES, CHALLENGED COMMON MYTHS REGARDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING, AND PRESENTED POLICY IDEAS TO SUPPORT HOUSING OPTIONS FOR ALL.$0$29,753
