The organization is dedicated to the belief that the creative process involved in the making of art is healing, life-enhancing, and is a fundamental need for development. Our programs motivate students to empower themselves to be high achievers, and build their life skills for positive decision making, and gain a greater sense of self. Purpose: Our academic art education activities are rounded out by a variety of cultural, creative, and recreation-related options, which give students exposure to a wide range of new ideas and concepts, encourage self-expression and confidence, and inspire socialization and leadership skills. We incorporate the arts into their curriculum/development to increase the ability for students' to have strong overall developmental skills. Our programs motivate students to ask questions, research the answers, challenge those answers, and gain a greater sense of self. In dealing with diversity and multicultural awareness, students recognizing that all the people are unique in their own way. Their differences could consist of their reading level, athletic ability, cultural background, personality, and religious beliefs. To embrace diversity, make positive use of it, value diversity, and the need to model this attitude to their students. Value diversity, they recognize and respect the fact that people are different and that these differences is generally a good thing. Our art instructors' major aim is to create an equal educational opportunity which provides students with an environment that is conducive to learning. Background: For Nineteen years, served over 5000 students throughout the years, TWW Inc's mission highlights the impact of culture, traditional art-making, and history. These objectives are expressed within the communities. These communities are served by TWW Inc. primarily in the underserved communities of the boroughs of New York. Through the work of professional teaching artists, TWW Inc.'s unique learning approach, by using the arts, and understanding the cultures they serve, which creates paths that led to their individual and shared American experience. TWW Inc has also partnered with organizations such as Children's Aid Society, TASC, and Beacon. This Year was challenging: With the public health crisis around COVID-19, we can easily attest that our community has been tested and challenged this year. We are expecting to return to the schools in Spring 2022 to continue our art educational programs with the school guidelines of teaching. We are dedicated to preserving the arts, history, culture, programs that supports mental health, and educational needs of all. TWW Inc. stands firmly in our belief that when youth engage with art that their cognitive abilities and even their lives, are improved. Our programs are aligned with their curriculum (social studies, art history, cultures and so on). By using our multi-discipline arts program, we help students with their overall educational needs, by giving them hand-on art programs that will allow them to process their work in a different way. By using hands-on techniques, this process allows the student to comprehend their studies more effectively, and helps the overall developmental skills of the individual. Different tracking and measuring student outcomes will involve multiple metrics that deal from educational to mental growth. Beyond the enrollment and participation tracking, TWW will be continuously monitoring quantitative student participation and achievement indicators and work closely with regular school day staff to align interim measurements to the release of grades and student achievement tests. We will continue to have significant growth in students work, parents' involvement, study trips to reinforce and broaden students' art education. Volunteer opportunities for students (whom are doing community service for High School credit), parents, adults and teaching artists. TWW is not just about having art programs, this is about effective art programs that promote effective challenges academically, and that students develop arts literacy, make connections to the cultures/curriculum, work together within the school, the community (and resources), strengthen confidence, awareness, pride, develop, and empower the students to make positive decision making for their future.
