Review of Form 990 can be completed during the course of a regularly scheduled Board meeting at which a quorum is present. In the event no meeting is scheduled prior to the due date of filing Form 990, the Board of Directors may review and approve said form electronically with all approvals being forwarded to the Executive Director.

Board members and senior staff will annually disclose and promptly update any disclosures previously made on an Annual Conflict Disclosure Questionnaire Form provided by the Organization that requests them to identify their interests that could give rise to conflicts or interest, such as a list of family members, substantial business or investment holdings, and other transactions or affiliations with businesses and other organizations or those of family members as well as other nonprofit organizations.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15A: Compensation Review & Approval Process - CEO, Top Management

The Board must determine before the compensation of the Chief Executive Officer is changed, that the compensation to be paid to the officer is reasonable. When determining whether the officer's compensation or any change to the officer's compensation is reasonable, the Board must compare the compensation to be paid to the officer with the compensation paid to equivalent Chief Executive officers from charitable service organizations operating in areas that have comparable revenues, employees and service populations.

IRS990/Desc0The BATEY RELIEF ALLIANCES humanitarian work is health-oriented and is carried out internationally by collaborating with local grassroots organizations and government agencies through direct services and education. Each year, BRA secures millions of dollars in in-kind resources for its many projects implemented inside the Dominican Republics bateyes, and distributing part to its local partners raising their capacity to deliver improved services to impoverished communities they serve throughout the country. In addition to these, BRA implements projects inside the United States New York raising public awareness, through international conferences and education, about its humanitarian effort, and issues of inequity, racial intolerance, human rights, and HIV/AIDS.
