Who are we? Project Hopes mission is to help young people living in poverty in NYC develop their strengths, skills, talents and competencies through effective experiential learning, youth development principles and work programs to prepare them for todays economy. Our vision is that young people who grow up in the neighborhoods we serve should have the same opportunities as young people who grow up in well-resourced neighborhoods. For us, a good life means that as an adult, you can answer yes to these three questions: Are you happy? Do you feel motivated? Have you been able to make real choices about the course of your life?
Project Hope's mission is to help young people who face adversity in NYC develop their strengths, skills, talents and competencies through effective experiential learning and work programs to prepare them for today's economy. We will deploy strategies that equip students with the necessary information to support their PATHWAY objectives & goals with practical and career based- experiential learning experiences and encouragement through age-appropriate YLCP workshops. Participants' will develop and work toward a career & post education PATHWAY, demonstrate positive behavioral modifications & coping skills, experience academic success and employment opportunities.
