We are continuosly increasing membership so we can improve and promote high standards in the funeral industry. Continued work with the epa and funeral homes in waste disposal standards and requirements. Solved hospital problems, cemetary issues, arranged for disaster training, scheduled interesting and beneficial ceu programs, hosted social event to promote good working relationships. Our website for consumers and members is now ready for use. The website offers consumers information in reference to grief, funerals, death benefits, spousal loss, pet loss, disposition law, pre-arrangement plan and grief professionals. It offers members access to the board of directors, representatives, committees, other funeral directors associations statewide and new members can access membership application forms. Planned first annual symposium and networking event to take place in early 2017. It will give an opportunity for directors and vendors to meet and discuss. Symposium will also offer continuing education for funeral directors. Hosted annual golf outing. This event provides a venue for members and vendors to gather in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere amd to exchange ideas and suggestions about the industry. Hosted major league baseball outing for all memebers, family and friends to attend and exchange information in a casual environment. The board of directors, committee members and active members regularly attend information meetings at the state level to keep other members informed of important developments in the industry.
