The resident security deposit account was established according to hud regulations for safekeeping of the residents' initial rental deposits. Additions to this account occur when a resident moves in and as interest accrues. Disbursement of these funds can only be made when a resident vacates the apartment.

The Corporation is owned by a Nonprofit Corporation, a tax-exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Federal and state tax authorities generally have the right to examine and audit the previous three years of tax returns filed.
