Activity 2

Vocational & recreational program:provides assistance to neurologically impaired individuals by preparing them for higher level of vocational training in order to be gainfully employed. Provides recreational programs to individuals of all ages. The association offers a variety of recreational and social activities including:1. Friday young adult program: this program offers young adults aged 17 and over opportunities to engage in activities of their choice including; creative arts, dancing, community events, guest speakers, games and other social activities. Staff supervision for each activity encourages participation and provides support for learning new skills.2. Saturday recreation program: this program offers children aged 5-17 with developmental disabilities with fun-filled activities while also developing new skills and making new friends. All activities are supervised by trained educators and are conducted in small groups, encouraging each child's full participation in the program. Activities include arts and crafts, cooking, music and art therapy, gym actvities, dance and movement and games.3. Sunday adult program: this program is available to individuals over the age of 18 and provides opportunities to make new friends, visit with old friends and to participate in community activities as well as in-house activities.

Activity 3

Case management program:service coordinators assist individuals with disabilities and their caregivers in accessing services that have positive impacts on individual lives, including residential in-home services, education, vocational programs, day programs, recreation, personal life-needs, transportation and medical access. Families may also request services such as respite, guardianship, caregiver support group, etc. The ultimate outcome of this program is to enable the individual to become as independent and productive as possible.
