Mission

The society offers person-to-person service to the needy and suffering. With approximately 1,400 dedicated vincentian volunteers and 80 employees, svdpli provides financial and material assistance, along with emotional and spiritual comfort to any long islander.

Form 990 will be reviewed by the executive director/ceo and cfo. Finance/audit committee members, including the president are issued a draft of the 990 to be filed with the irs, for review and comments. All board members will have a copy available for their review at the next board meeting.

IN THESE CASES, A FURNITURE AND/OR CLOTHING REQUEST IS SUBMITTED ON BEHALF OF THE FAMILY BY OUR VINCENTIANS FOR THE ITEMS NEEDED. THE FAMILY IS THEN GIVEN A VOUCHER THAT WILL BE PRESENTED AT ONE OF OUR STORES TO BE FULFILLED BY A HELPFUL EMPLOYEE.
