“The Alumni Fund Association of Yale University ("The Association") is an organization which has been ruled to be exempt from income tax under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is operated solely for the benefit of and is controlled by Yale University, A Connecticut Corporation, which has also been ruled to be exempt under Section 501(C)(3). Yale University is an educational organization described in Section 170(B)(1)(A)(II) of the internal revenue code, which normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of students in attendance at the place where its educational activities are regularly carried on. The Association's purpose and activities consist solely of encouraging and soliciting contributions to or for the University from persons who have attended or attend or who otherwise have an affiliation with or affinity to the University (Collectively, "Alumni") for the general use of Yale University, subject to such restrictions on use as may from time to time be imposed by the donors and accepted by the University.”
