Capstone's primary exempt purpose is to address the needs of some of Tijuana, Mexico's special-needs orphans, homeless, and working poor. Capstone employs 1) direct grant support of three orphanages located in Tijuana, that take-in among others, children that are difficult to place due to illness, disability, or a combination of the two, and 2) Capstone creates and facilitates a unique people-to-people partnership involving a network of Idaho volunteers who work to support grassroots leaders and service-providing organizations in and near Tijuana, through a series of projects constructing and/or improving physical facilities for individuals and charitable service-providing organizations. Several hundred volunteers over the past several years, including scores of college and high school students, have had unforgettable educational experiences working with and for Tijuana's poorest and most in-need, along with those who serve them.
