“The council on addiction of new york state is an organization dedicated to prevention, education, intervention and treatment agencies throughout new york state. The organization meets to address concerns and issues that affect both the practice of prevention, intervention and treatment of alcoholism, drug abuse, and problem gambling as well as of organizational efficiency. Organizational efficiency includes administrative, managerial programmatic, fiscal, staff and board of directors concerns. The mission of the organization is to effectively address problems related to alcohol, tobacco, drug use and gambling problems in our local communities as well as regional and statewide.”
