Hwh and iha were incorporated under the laws of the state of connecticut and serve the public within the meaning of charitable, educational organizations as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the code). As such, hwh and iha are exempt from state and federal income taxes pursuant to section 509(a) of the code. Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken and recognize a tax liability (or asset) if the organization has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken and has concluded that as of december 31, 2024, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax pereiods pending or in progress.”
