For the past several years, they have fed nearly 250 children each week during the school year. The support of the Warwick Savings Foundation contributes immensely to this achievement. All public schools in Warwick, Florida and Greenwood Lake districts are included in the program. Teachers and school personnel identify the hungry children and refer them to Backpack Snack Attack. The organization also supplies food on weekends to the children during the school year. |

The funding allowed Fearless! to support clients in finding and keeping safe, affordable and permanent housing. The grant award amount has been allocated to provide much-needed support to nine individuals (three adult survivors and six children). In addition to receiving financial support to enable survivors and their children to access safe, affordable housing, these individuals received and continue to receive ongoing services, including advocacy, accompaniment and support, case management and therapeutic counseling to aid in healing from the trauma and abuse they have experienced. |

Two exterior walls received attention utilizing new mortar and cement plaster. All four walls are being cleaned, sealed and painted. In addition, parts of the attic were upgraded, roof flashing was replaced and the attic floor repaired. Also, a stairway to the second floor which had been sealed up is being reopened to enable the structure to meet CO requirements. The hope is that the Green Family Homestead will become filled with students and adults who are interested in learning about life in Florida in the 1800s. |
| IRS990PF/SupplementaryInformationGrp/GrantOrContributionPdDurYrGrp/GrantOrContributionPurposeTxt | 3 | The grant provided support for the church's "Soup for the Soul" community outreach. This included purchases of containers, labels, bread and some miscellaneous groceries totaling $1,644.76. Thanks to the Foundation's donation, all expenses were covered. |

The room is still undergoing electrical work and updates to meet the needs of the program. This work should be completed this summer (if necessary invoices can be provided). When the program begins, Greystone can share the impact the Sensory Room has on the participants and pictures of it in use. |

The most recent grant had a positive impact on Habitat's Bridging Blocks Project-Phase II Part I for houses at 139/141 Johnston Street and 511 South Street. To date, Habitat has rehabilitated or constructed 103 homes in the City of Newburgh and has partnered with more than 120 families through their home ownership program. Currently, 11 homes are under construction and five are in the planning phase. Habitat is currently the largest developer of single- family homes in the City of Newburgh, furthering the organization's mission of providing decent, affordable housing for deserving families in our community. |

Thanks to the Foundation's recent support, the Society has made great strides in presenting forward-facing public displays and workshops, attracting new audiences to the educational programming and entertaining historic exhibits. The Society took the lead in creating two public exhibits at Mountain Lake Park. The WHS organized participation by the local historical societies and official historians. Programming at the WHS was expanded, and tours and historic walk-abouts resumed after missing two years due to the pandemic. |

It allowed the organization to provide mentoring, educational support, and community services to an additional 85 Orange County area low-income, high-risk youths and their families. Support such as that from the Foundation will enable the organization to navigate the unprecedented circumstances of 2023, helping our most vulnerable populations. |

All the individuals supported by Inspire benefit from this improvement in computer technology. Some of the benefits include the flexibility to provide distance learning and remote services when needed, improved data security and confidentiality, reliable and easy access to information, and improved communication. |
| IRS990PF/SupplementaryInformationGrp/GrantOrContributionPdDurYrGrp/GrantOrContributionPurposeTxt | 10 | The grant has been used for operating expenses, all of which are program-related and greatly needed, especially as the organization faces escalating grocery prices. Support continues to help Meals on Wheels purchase groceries for freshly prepared hot, home-style, nutritious meals that dedicated volunteers deliver to those who are homebound and in need. The organization was also able to prepare frozen meals and shelf-stable food for their recipients to keep on hand for unforeseen emergencies. In short, the funds help the organization to help those they serve to live where they want to be - at home - with independence and dignity. |

The Foundation funds were used for multiple projects, the most significant being a much-needed upgrade to the playground area. Another portion of the funds is going toward supplies for the STEM camp program. Enrollment for STEM in 2023 is well above last year's. Grant funds are also being used to complete very important repairs to the aging pool, including new water lines, replacement of the skimmer housings and replacement of the pool pump. These pool repairs could not have even been considered without support from the Foundation. |
| IRS990PF/SupplementaryInformationGrp/GrantOrContributionPdDurYrGrp/GrantOrContributionPurposeTxt | 12 | The 2022 Foundation grant was instrumental in helping pay the organization's taxes, O&R electric bill, lawn maintenance, and insurance. Incidental expenses included supplies and refreshments for events, mailings to the membership, and one serious tree problem threatening the headquarters. In a broader sense, Foundation assistance has allowed the Society to maintain a presence among the other historical societies in the Town of Warwick, and continued assistance will allow the Society to contribute to a new Town Heritage Room at Mountain Lake Park. |

In 2022 and 2023, NUAC served 650+ students weekly, expanded class offerings to more than 30, and provided nearly 2,000 hours of instruction per week, surpassing pre-pandemic numbers. The library has also been updated and renovated, and a computerized database installed. An after-school program for middle school and high school students has been added. The garden was expanded to include a fruit and berry orchard and a pollinator orchard. The NUAC hosted 12 internships in collaboration with the Newburgh School District and others. Groundwork was laid to begin installation of an elevator in the facility and to renovate several classrooms next year. |

By providing items such as toothpaste, soap, toilet paper and shampoo, the organization is able to address one of the most glaring issues with poverty that is often overlooked. Clients come from the community at large or one of two shelters. During one of the busiest weeks, 60-70 individuals will come to the Ministry in need of these basic items. Funding from the Foundation means that families don't need to make a choice between food on the table or a new toothbrush for their child. It also demonstrates that there are people who out there who want to help and care about their plight - the heart of philanthropy. |
| IRS990PF/SupplementaryInformationGrp/GrantOrContributionPdDurYrGrp/GrantOrContributionPurposeTxt | 15 | The Foundation's support allowed NCPA to tie into the "Educate" application that is used by the Archdiocese of New York. A "per student" fee permits access to the system which assists the administration immensely. "Educate" streamlines attendance reporting, report cards, emergency notifications to parents, and allows parents to set up a user account to check their child's grades at any time. This funding also has had and will continue to have a direct impact on the educational experience of NCPA girls in the following ways: 1) for the Extended Day Program, NCPA was able to hire a physical education teacher; 2) a plan is in place to hire a part-time music teacher in the fall for the Extended Day Program; 3) the 8th Grade class was able to take an educational trip into New York City for a tour of the United Nations. Funding was also used for miscellaneous building/maintenance costs. |

They were serving 30 families weekly three years ago and now average 75 families. They serve Caucasian, African American, Latino and Creole and are seeing many new clients since the price of food is so high. The grant has been allocated for the Center's patient assistance grant program which helps offset unexpected household expenses due to a cancer diagnosis. Roughly half of all cancer patients have incurred cancer-related medical debt and those with cancer are more than twice as likely to file for bankruptcy. With the Foundation's help, the Center has been able to award 17 families a financial grant. They expect to exceed their budget of awarding $25,000 in grant assistance and help more than 165 families in need this year. The Foundation continues to help the Cancer Resource Center make the cancer journey easier for those affected by this devastating disease. |

It uses the funds to improve its ability to serve hungry people in the Town of Warwick, without regard to race, color, citizenship, religion, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, disability, etc. During 2022, the pantry received 1,564 visits and served 4,866 people in households that ranged in size from a single occupant to multi-generational families with multiple children. Clients receive shopping bags filled with groceries, frozen foods (meat, poultry, fish, vegetables and cheese), and personal hygiene and household cleaning items. In addition to facilitating the feeding of those in need, Foundation support of the pantry also provides institutional validation of the work they do in the community. |

Their mission is to continue subsidizing their services along with awarding scholarships to clients who need it most. As of May 31, 2023, they had given $40,000 in subsidies and scholarships and that number is expected to increase. Four of the five schools they are serving this year through their visiting classroom program are from Orange County from K through 8th grade. As a result of funding provided by supporters such as the Foundation, Winslow's participants improve physically, mentally, cognitively, socially and educationally. Because Winslow has not had to change prices, participants have maintained their ability to afford these necessary services for themselves or their loved ones. |

Starting in January of 2022, they began running two separate programs concurrently, increasing program days from roughly 40 per year in 2021 to 90 in 2022. Also thanks to Foundation help, Beautiful People added several brand new sports. For the first time, they formed a track and field club, encouraging more than 50 athletes to move their bodies to support physical and mental health. They also pushed new programs into the Newburgh and New Windsor areas. They have also made it a priority to add new programs in areas like Middletown, Warwick, Newburgh and New Windsor. | IRS990PF/SupplementaryInformationGrp/GrantOrContributionPdDurYrGrp/GrantOrContributionPurposeTxt | 24 | The grant funds allowed Museum Village to expand hands-on learning opportunities and exhibits in several areas: 1. Educational interactives were developed to teach children about firefighting in the late 19th century; 2. Funds permitted development of a hands-on exhibit to engage students in the basics of loom weaving; 3. An enhanced display of a collection of uranium glass under black light piqued visitors' curiosity; 4. An expanded offering focusing on 1876 and the creation of "A More Perfect Union" causes visitors to reflect on our challenges and progress. Without the support of organizations such as the Foundation, Museum Village, now in its 73rd year, would not be able to serve the over 9,000 school children who visit each spring on school trips or the vast number of visitors throughout the year. |
