The governing board receives a draft of the form 990 for review. The form 990 is then approved and filed.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The academy has a written conflict of interest policy that applies to employees and board members of the academy. Employees and board members are asked to review the conflict of interest policy on an annual basis and to disclose any potential conflicts. When a conflict of interest is relevant to a matter requiring action by the board, the interested person(s) shall call it to the attention of the board and said person, if a board member, shall not vote on the matter. In addition, the person(s) shall not participate in the final deliberation or decision regarding the matter under consideration and shall retire from the room during the vote of the board. When there is a doubt as to whether a conflict exists, the matter shall be resolved by vote of the board, excluding the person(s) concerning whose situation the doubt has arisen.

PART X, LINE 2:

The school is generally exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the u.s. Internal revenue code. The school recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not to be sustained. Management has determined that the school had no uncertain tax positions that would require financial statement recognition or disclosure. The school is no longer subject to examinations by the applicable taxing jurisdictions for periods prior to july 1, 2016.

THE ESTABLISHED GOALS ARE TO BE MET THROUGH THE FOLLOWING APPROACHES: PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT, A MENTOR PROGRAM WITH PROFESSIONALS FROM THE BRIDGEPORT BUSINESS COMMUNITY, AN INTRODUCTION TO THE WORK OUTSIDE OF BRIDGEPORT THAT INCLUDED THE ARTS, AND A SMALL ENROLLMENT THAT ALLOWS STUDENTS TO FORESTER A SENSE OF COMMUNITY AND SELF-RESPECT.
