Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

“The association received notification that it qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under section 501 (c)(6) of the u.s. Internal revenue code and corresponding provisions of state law and, accordingly, is not subject to federal or state income taxes. Certain items of income, primarily advertising and customized exams are subject to taxation as unrelated business income. The association follows relevant accounting standards in evaluating uncertain tax positions. The guidance prescribes recongnition threshold principles for the financial statement recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken on a tax return that are not certain to be realized. Management is not aware of any uncertain tax positions taken by the association as of december 31, 2024 and 2023. The association's tax returns are subject to review and examnation by federal and state authorities. The accrued income tax was $97,818 and $356,699 for the years ended december 31, 2024 and 2023, respectively.”
