Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part XII, Line 2C

The organization has a committee that is responsible for the oversight of the audit, its financial statements as well as the selection of an independent accountant. The process has not changed from the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

The Congress evaluates all significant tax positions as required by accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. As of June 30, 2016, the Congress does not believe that it has taken any positions that would require the recording of any additional tax liability nor does it believe that there are any unrealized tax benefits that would either increase or decrease within the next year. The Congress is no longer subject to audits by the applicable taxing authorities for the period prior to 2013

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0The Congress evaluates all significant tax positions as required by accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.
