Emergency services training - providing training for members of public fire departments and other first responders in the region. Training delivered is designed to conform with nationally recognized standards as developed by the national fire protection association, the occupational safety and health administration and others. The organization is the only regional fire school located east of the connecticut river, and has been doing business for over sixty years at the same location. The organization provides fire service training for fire departments in new london, tolland, and windham counties which contain 49 towns and 97 public fire departments. Several departments from middlesex and hartford counties also send their personnel for training on a regular basis. This amounts to more than 125 departments.

TRAINING DELIVERED IS DESIGNED TO CONFORM WITH NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED STANDARDS AS DEVELOPED BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION, THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION AND OTHERS. THE ORGANIZATION IS THE ONLY REGIONAL FIRE SCHOOL LOCATED EAST OF THE CONNECTICUT RIVER, AND HAS BEEN DOING BUSINESS FOR OVER SIXTY YEARS AT THE SAME LOCATION. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FIRE SERVICE TRAINING FOR FIRE DEPARTMENTS IN NEW LONDON, TOLLAND, AND WINDHAM COUNTIES WHICH CONTAIN 49 TOWNS AND 97 PUBLIC FIRE DEPARTMENTS. SEVERAL DEPARTMENTS FROM MIDDLESEX AND HARTFORD COUNTIES ALSO SEND THEIR PERSONNEL FOR TRAINING ON A REGULAR BASIS. THIS AMOUNTS TO MORE THAN 125 DEPARTMENTS.
