Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

The audit committee receives a copy of the 990 prior to filing. They then signify their approval by sending an email to the staff who file the form. The 990 is then made available to the entire board before it is filed.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Campus compact has established a conflict of interest policy that requires written statements from each board member disclosing any possible conflicts. These are received and signed on an annual basis and reviewed for compliance with the policy.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15A

The board of directors meet in a special executive session and determine the compensation for the president using comparability data. This is voted upon and approved, and documented in the board minutes.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

Campus compact makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements available to anyone that requests them via first class mail.
