Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part XII, Line 2C

The organization's process by which it assumes responsibility for oversight of the audit of its financial statements and selection of independent accountant has not changed since the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

The endowment fund is a reserve of designated funds whose principal is held as a permanent fund from which a percentage of earnings will be used in the annual budget.

PART X, LINE 2:

The museum evaluates all significant tax positions as required by gaap. As of december 31, 2013, the museum does not believe that they have taken any tax positions that would require the recording of any additional tax liability nor does it believe that there are any unrealized tax benefits that would either increase or decrease within the next twelve months. The museums income tax returns are subject to examination by the appropriate taxing jurisdictions. As of december 31, 2013, the museums income tax returns generally remain open for examination for three years from the date filed with each taxing jurisdiction.
