Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The Paton PTO is the parent/teacher association for Paton School. We are committed to enhancing the educational, cultural and social atmosphere of the school. Each year, the PTO raises funds to provide supplemental academic materials, cultural enrichment programs, social programs, staff appreciation, field trip buses and other things like playground equipment, not covered by the school budget. In addition to financial support, PTO parents assist as room parents, provide refreshments at events, undertake community outreach, clean the playground and install/maintain playground equipment. Parent volunteers organize and run programs throughout the school year including cultural enrichment programs, field day, breakfast with a Buddy, socials, holiday gift sale, book fairs, skating parties, staff appreciation luncheon, 1st grade welcome and a year end celebration for graduating students. Our parent organization is integral to high quality learning and the nurturing, community-centered trad
