“The North Andover Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (NASF) is a non-profit organization founded in 1963 for charitable and educational purposes with the primary mission of awarding or aiding in the awarding of scholarships to graduates of an accredited secondary school who reside in North Andover. By-Laws and financial statements are available for review from any board member. The Foundation is a non-profit organization in accordance with section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code. The Foundation does not discriminate in the selection of award recipients, on the basis of race, color, sex, creed, religion or ethnic background.Last year NASF awarded 39 scholarships ranging from $500- $2,500. Our scholarships are awarded for many reasons, not only financial need or academic achievement, but may take into consideration certain majors, career plans, National Honor Society, school and community service, music, sports, extra-curricular activities, foreign language, attending one of the Massachusetts public colleges, and more. Scholarship candidates must be residents of North Andover, high school seniors graduating from any accredited secondary school who have applied to a recognized institution for higher education, technical or vocational training.NASF also manages funds for 31 family memorial and institutional scholarship funds and assists in awarding scholarship money in the family or institution name.”
