Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
The mission of WCWGA (founded in 1945) was to establish friendly, competitive golf beyond their own groups and clubs. Early members recruited golf clubs throughout Worcester County that would host a WCWGA event. The league started with approximately 50 members and 8 member clubs. For the past 6 years WCWGA has attracted between 225 and 250 members each season. Tournaments are held weekly from May to September. In 2020, WCWGA began donating a portion of our proceeds to the Worcester County Food Bank. During the first 6 years, more than Eight Thousand Seven Hundred dollars was donated. WCWGA continues to donate one dollar per golfer per event each season. On opening and closing days, can drives are held and proceeds are delivered directly to the Food Bank. In 2025, WCWGA celebrated 80 YEARS as a social organization. This endurance is a testimony to the leadership and commitment of a passionate group of lady golfers throughout the years. By way of acknowledging WCWGA reaching 80 years of women's golf, each member received a golf towel with the WCWGA logo in the center of a golf ball and the year 1945 on the top of the towel and 2025 on the bottom. A gift that was very well received and much appreciated from each of the golfers.$0$0
