Mission

The massachusetts higher education consortium is comprised of an unincorporated group of nonprofit, public and private institutions of higher education, technical, charter and vocational schools, municipalities including elementary and secondary schools, postsecondary schools and educational nonprofit organizations located within new england. Membership shall be limited to non-profit public and private institutions of higher education, technical, charter and vocational schools, municipalities including elementary and secondary schools, preparatory schools, and educational non-profit organizations located within new england. New england states consist of me, vt, nh, ma, ct & ri.

The mission of the organization is to establish group purchase agreements for the (cont. On sch. O) benefit of members, to promote the development and implementation of effective purchasing management, to collect and disseminate useful information and to advise member organizations.

The organization changed its bylaws during the fiscal year to reflect the new structure of the nominating committee as follows: nominating committee - the nominating committee will be comprised of a minimum of two voting members appointed by the board of directors. The chair of the nominating committee must be a member of the board of directors. The nominating committee will propose prospective candidates to the board. Whenever possible, the nominating committee will consult with the executive director on specific needs of the organization and strive to diversify representation on the board by nominating members with expertise in specialized areas including but not limited to marketing, technology, facilities, public safety, and finance.
