New hope engages survivors, stakeholders and communities to build an anti-violence movement. Using a trauma-informed practice, we work with those impacted by sexual and domestic violence, as well as those persons who use abuse in their intimate relationships. We are committed to practices that promote racial and gender equity, while also elevating persons living with disabilities, lgbtqia+ identified persons and immigrants.

Provides a broad range of services to domestic and sexual violence survivors and children, including: crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, hospital and court advocacy, transitional living assistance, batterer's intervention, supervised visitation, education and outreach
New hope's mission is dedicated to helping survivors of domestic and sexual violence heal from the trauma of abuse, understand the impact of abuse on their lives and rebuild lives free from violence. Our services include a 24/7 hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, hospital, court and police advocacy, housing advocacy, safety planning, prevention education, supervised visitation, and intimate partner abuse education. We also provide referrals to other services, as appropriate. We serve anyone who is a survivor and/or their family members, without regard to age, sex, gender or gender expression, sexual orientation, immigration status, language, ability, and/or religion.

SUPERVISED VISITATION PROGRAMS WERE ESTABLISHED TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND WELLBEING OF FAMILIES DURING THE TIME OF CONTACT BETWEEN THE NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT AND CHILD. IT ALSO ENABLES AN ONGOING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT AND THEIR CHILD IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. THE CENTER IS SPECIFICALLY STRUCTURED TO ENSURE SAFETY OF BOTH THE CHILDREN AND CUSTODIAL PARENTS. WE ASSIST THE PARENTS IN ENHANCING THEIR INTERACTION WITH THEIR CHILDREN. OUR STAFF MODEL HEALTHY PARENTING SKILLS WITH THESE ADULTS AS THEY VISIT WITH THEIR CHILDREN IN A SAFE, NURTURING AND MONITORED SETTING. STAFF MEMBERS OBSERVE EACH VISIT, MAKE OBSERVATIONAL NOTES FOR THE COURTS AND PROBATION DEPARTMENT, AND PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE REDIRECTION AND ASSISTANCE TO PARENTS ALL WITH THE OVERARCHING GOAL OF PREVENTING FUTURE VIOLENCE. OUR SUPERVISED VISITATION PROGRAM IS THE ONLY VISITATION CENTER FOR FAMILIES DEALING WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN ALL OF WORCESTER COUNTY. |
