The board of directors review the return prior to submitting.

The board of directors are currently compiling and evaluating appropriate polices and procedures for the following: whistle blower policy upon full board approval, the above policies and procedures will be implemented and monitored by the appropriate assigned individuals. The conflict of interest policy is provided to the massachusetts academy of dermatology directors, officers, committee members and agents. They assume a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of the massachusetts academy of dermatology, as well as in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Each year all applicable parties acknowledge in a written statement that there have been no conflicts of interests. Before board or committee action on and agreement or transaction involving a conflict of interest, a director or committee member and agent having a conflict of interest and who is in attendance at the meeting shall disclose all facts material to the conflict of interest. Such disclosure shall be reflected in the minutes of the meeting.

THE SPEAKERS PRESENTED AN ARRAY OF TOPICS OF INTEREST TO OUR MEMBERSHIP. AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATING IN THIS MEETING, ATTENDEES LEARNED HOW TO ADJUST TO THE CHANGING HEALTH CARE ENVIRONMENT, HOW TO RECOGNIZE CHALLENGES SUCH AS NARROWING NETWORKS, AND ASSESS WAYS OF DEALING WITH REDUCED ACCESS TO PHYSICIANS AND MEDICATIONS. ATTENDEES INCREASED THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF NEW TREATMENTS AND PROCEDURES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRACTICE OF COSMETIC DERMATOLOGY WITH AN EMPHASIS ON DERMATOLOGIC ISSUES AND CITE PRACTICES THAT IMPROVE THE QUALITY, EASE, AND EFFICIENCY OF COMMON PROCEDURES USED IN GENERAL DERMATOLOGICAL PRACTICE.
