Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XI, LINE 9:

Change in trust value 2,792.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

When necessary and approved by the board of directors, endowment funds would be used to supplement the organization's budget for current operations of various program services provided.

PART X, LINE 2:

Part x, line 2 the children's study home (the home) is a not-for-profit corporation and has been recognized as exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (irc) and accordingly does not record a provision for income taxes on its related earnings. In addition, contributions to the home qualify for the charitable contribution deduction under section 170(b)(1)(a). The home is classified as an organizaiton other than a private foundation under section 509(a)(2). Professional accounting standards provide detailed guidance regarding accounting for uncertainty in income taxes which prescribes how an entity should measure, recognize, present and disclose positions that it has taken or expects to take on its tax or information returns. The home believes that in the event of an examination by taxing authorities, its tax positions taken in previously filed information returns and as reflected in its financial statements, with regard to issues affecting its tax exempt status, unrelated business income, and related matters, would prevail based upon the technical merits of such positions. Therefore, the home has concluded that no tax benefits or liabilities are required to be recognized. The home's tax returns are subject to examination by taxing authorities for all years ended on or after june 30, 2014. Penalties and interest, if any, assessed by taxing authorities will be included in expenses.

PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:
