The foundation was formed to investigate and discover the causes of pediatric cancer, to develop effective strategies for preventing pediatric cancer, and to educate and empower those who are dealing with pediatric cancer. Specifically, the foundation intends: (1) to drive and fund research that is focused on the cause and prevention of pediatric cancer; (2) to educate parents to be effective advocates for their children through training in communication skills, team building skills, and basic medical terminology; (3) to produce an effective collaboration with doctors and nurses; (4) to unite and empower small foundations to focus and direct their efforts for effective fundraising to accomplish common goals; and (5) to raise awareness of the general public to pediatric cancer, its effects, and the need for funding research.
