IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0Vermont HITEC provides technical assistance to workforce entities, state agencies, employers, associations and other sponsors to research, explore, and expand apprenticeships based on each entitys unique needs and the constraints of registered apprenticeships. In 2019, Vermont HITEC worked closely with Lockheed Martin, and other entities, to assist in the development of systems involving every aspect of apprenticeships. The work to assist employers and sponsors to develop and expand apprenticeships has also focused on developing funding sources to avoid or recover costs associated with education delivery or on the job training, which are both core components of any apprenticeship program. Obtaining and distributing apprenticeship incentive grant funds for employers and apprenticeship sponsors has been a significant component of the technical assistance offered.
