“Primary exempt purpose (statement 2)provide students and their teachers with music composition experiences including online mentoring, live performance, professional development, and composition resources. Program accomplishments (statement 3)professional development workshops and graduate level courses are offered to teachers to expand their skills and knowledge in music technology, music composition, and curriculum development. Course formats are online throughout the school year and face-to-face during the summer. Expenses are for workshop instructors, college credit fees, room and board, publicity and insurance. Program accomplishments (statement 4)online mentoring for students with professional composers on a password protected website. Serve approximately 6000 students, mainly in vermont, but in several other states as well. Expenses are for composer consultants, website service and development, admin of site. Program accomplishments (statement 5)opus events - live performances by professional musicians of the original student compositions. The full day event also includes rehearsals, workshop and discussion times and a concert open to the public. Expenses are for musicians fees, workshop presenters, hall rental, food, publicity and printing.”
