“Members are delegates of state organizations. Members are the state plant regulatory officials of each member state or commonwealth of the us.”

“Each regional plant board organization elects/delegates board members to represent that region on the npb. Members nominate and vote on the npb officials: president, vice president and secretary/treasurer.”

“The governing body is the organization known as the board of directors, comprised of twelve voting members. Governing council (board of directors) actions are documented in writing.”

“Documentation by committee explanation committee activities are reported verbally and/or final written reports are provided to the president and board of directors and made availale on the npb website. No committee has authority to act on behalf of the governing body. If a decision needs to be made, it is brought back to the directors/members for a decision.”

“There are no written policies at the national level for regional organizations to follow of comply with, as (since) the national organization began as an assembly of four regional plant board organizations.”

“The executive secretary, under the supervision of the president, reviews, signs, and submits the form 990. Board members are not involved in the mechanics of preparing and reviewing the annual form 990. However, they are informed by the president of its completion, submission, and availability.”
