PHCS RESOURCES HAVE BEEN UTILIZED FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS AT THE LITTLE SISTERS SCHOOL AND ORPHANAGE TEACHERS: PHC HAS FINANCED TRAINING, EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO INCREASE TEACHERS SALARIES. SINCE 2006, TEACHER SALARIES HAVE INCREASED FROM 25 PER MONTH TO 55 BY 2010 AND TO 80 BY THE START OF THE 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR. (TEACHERS ARE ONLY PAID 10 MONTHS PER YEAR.) SCHOOL CANTEEN MANY OF THE CHILDREN SUFFER FROM HUNGER AND MALNUTRITION. SINCE 2011, THE OPUS PRIZE FOUNDATION GRANTS HAVE MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR THE CHILDREN TO RECEIVE DAILY HOT MEALS. AS A RESULT, STUDENTS CONCENTRATED MORE IN CLASS AND PERFORMED BETTER ACADEMICALLY. SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT PHC HAS PROVIDED FUNDS FOR EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES AND SCHOOL FURNITURE. IN 2010, TWO NEW CLASSROOMS FOR 200 ADDITIONAL STUDENTS WERE FURNISHED AND EQUIPPED THANKS TO FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM THE UNITED NATIONS CREDIT UNION HAITI FUND. SINCE THE 2012- 2013 SCHOOL YEAR , MATH, GRAMMAR, SCIENCES, GEOGRAPHY, AND FRENCH TEXTBOOKS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED TO ALL STUDENTS BY GRANTS FROM THE STIFTUNG KINDER-HILFE FOUNDATION OF MUNICH AND BY GENEROUS DONATIONS THROUGH GLOBALGIVING. DISPENSARY: PHC HAS FINANCED A LIMITED NUMBER OF BASIC DRUGS FOR ORPHANS AND STUDENTS. BUDGETARY ASSISTANCE SINCE 2006, PHC HAS PROVIDED BETWEEN 30-40% OF THE ORPHANAGES NEEDS FOR FOOD, CLOTHING AND MEDICAL CARE. Phcs resources have been utilized for the following projects at the little sisters school and orphanage teachers: phc has financed training, educational materials and provided assistance to increase teachers salaries. Since 2006, teacher salaries have increased from 25 per month to 55 by 2010 and to 80 by the start of the 2013-2014 school year. (teachers are only paid 10 months per year.) school canteen many of the children suffer from hunger and malnutrition. Since 2011, the opus prize foundation grants have made it possible for the children to receive daily hot meals. As a result, students concentrated more in class and performed better academically. School supplies and equipment phc has provided funds for educational supplies and school furniture. In 2010, two new classrooms for 200 additional students were furnished and equipped thanks to financial support from the united nations credit union haiti fund. Since the 2012- 2013 school year , math, grammar, sciences, geography, and french textbooks have been provided to all students by grants from the stiftung kinder-hilfe foundation of munich and by generous donations through globalgiving. Dispensary: phc has financed a limited number of basic drugs for orphans and students. Budgetary assistance since 2006, phc has provided between 30-40% of the orphanages needs for food, clothing and medical care. Additionally, phc finances tuition fees and other education expenses (such as textbooks) for the orphans attending secondary school. Small infrastructure projects: phc has financed the reconstruction of the campus fence to ensure security for the children, the construction of appropriate toilets for younger orphans, and the refurbishment of the school assembly courtyard.
