However, board members contribute their time and professional expertise and community volunteers undertake tasks such as planning events and consultation. We offer internships to undergraduates who are enrolled in occupational therapy courses and summer high schoolers interested in understanding occupational and speech therapy assist with camp dfx.”

“Dfx works every day to help children living with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges and support their families and caregivers through 4 areas of activity. 1) dfx's denver clinic, we provide occupational, speech, and mental health therapies, reaching more than 550 children in fy25; 2) clinic in the community programs, offering multidisciplinary wraparound care for children in their homes and schools, as well as consultation and mentoring for educators and caregivers so they can better support these children, serving over 1,600 kids and 1,090 caregivers and educators in fy25; 3) learning journeys, our online educational platform, provides training in models of clinical reasoning and multidisciplinary care, reaching over 1,500 clinicians and caregivers annually, and 4) innovation and advocacy, whereby we develop innovative models of care and share best practice to build engagement for children who are neurodivergent, through publications and presentations worldwide.”
