“The form 990 was presented by the executive director to all board members via email. All board members were asked to review and provide any questions or comments, which would be answered by the executive director together with any supportive documentation. Subject to a deadline date, without objection, the executive director submitted the 990 questions as approved by the board of directors.”

“The organization implemented a policy by which it "regularly and consistently" monitors and enforces compliance with the conflict of interest policy by which the executive director distributes (via email) to each board member, along with his ed report, (approximately one week) prior to every board meeting. Which each board member, as well as the executive director, must, if physically present, physically sign the coi disclosure or, if the board of directors meeting is held virtually, must idividually attest vocally that no coi exists to the best of his/her knowledge. All parties are made aware of each board member's response and is afforded ample opportunity to challenge any potential coi. Documentation of coi and board member responses are provided in the minutes of each board meeting, which is distributed soon after each board meeting by the secretary of the board. By this, there are numerous checks and balances.”

“Executive director compensation is based on a review and approval conducted by independent persons, use of comparability data and discussion combination of the market rate for the position and what we can afford as an organization, as well as the cost to the organization of replacing such an officer. The process involves contemporaneoys discussion and substantiation folled by a formal 3-year employment agreement offer which is unanymously agreed to by the bod. The process for other officers would include the same procedure except for the fact that the executive director is the only officer employed by the organization.”

Therefore, partnering with a financially robust organization could adequately meet our mission needs and serve hundreds and up to 1,200 families each year.”
