“The grafton county fish & game has been in operation since at least 1973 when it was determined to be a section 501(c)(7) organization. It is believed that it was in operation long before this time. Deeds indicate that it may have been in operation as a club before 1969. It also appears that the majority of the land was donated to the organization. Therefore, there is no value being carried on the books. Further, the buildings were built after the land became the possession of the organization. No records exist for basis of the buildings now in existence on the property. In any event, the basis would be zero at this point, having been depreciated or depreciable over the years. A new building became operational and placed in service the tax year ending april 30, 2018. In prior years, balance sheet information was shown on sch o and not directly on the balance sheet for building and some equipment. The return was updated this year to show all assets on the balance sheet from prior years.”
