Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

Part V Line 2

All employees that provide services to the association are employees of its subsidiary, nhmta-services. Nhmta-services allocates expenses for services based upon time studies and the association reimburses nhmta-services. As a result, no w-2 wages are reported, or payroll tax returns are filed by the association as nhmta-services makes all required filings.

Form 990, Part IX, Line 11G

Legislative affairs 104,050.

Form 990 Part XII, Line 2C

The executive committee meets with the independent accounting firm to discuss the financial statements annually. There has been no change in this process during the year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Current accounting standards require the association and its subsidiaries to evaluate their tax positions and recognize the tax benefit from any uncertain tax positions only if it is more likely than not that the tax position would be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities based on the technical merit of the position. Management has determined that, through december 31, 2024, the association and its subsidiaries have not taken any significant tax positions which do not meet the criteria for recognition.
